Today’s focus was on the first day of classes. After two days of getting to know the Zurich and Winterthur area, it was time to get to business.
We met with ZHAW’s international leader named Wolfgang, who led us to breakfast at our first class. We quickly realized that two four-and-a-half hour lectures in one day are tough to get through.
The group seemed to be pretty exhausted by the end of classes, but that didn’t stop anyone from continuing to enjoy the evening afterwards. One portion of the group went off into the outskirts of Winterthur to find a soccer field. Along this adventure, they ran into a fire tower where they were able to watch the sunset.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group and I were too tired for the late-night activities and chose to enjoy the sunset from the patio of our hostel. Surprisingly, we were able to catch a live music performance from the patio, which really added to the vibe.
