Day 12: The work begins

After successful village visits, we were eager to start working on our projects. We ate breakfast at 8 a.m. as usual and got straight to work. Each group split up to begin mapping the landscape and considering potential locations for distribution points (DPs). The morning was busy with discussions about Google Earth Pro and fluid mechanics.

After a few hours of diligent work, we went out for lunch at our regular spots, Neema and Ruksana, to refuel. After lunch, we returned to the Lutheran Centre to work for a few more hours before heading to the tailor in town to pick up the clothes we had made last week. Thoroughly impressed with the results, we had a quick photo op in our new outfits. We loved them so much that we decided to wear them out to dinner.

We enjoyed dinner at Sunset Hotel once again and took in the wonderful views of Iringa. Eventually, we made our way back to the Lutheran Centre to continue working on our projects to ensure a proper result by the end of our tight deadline set for the next day. Overall, another successful day in Iringa.
