Mechatronics in Switzerland - May 2022

The Department of Mechanical Engineering will lead this seminar for CSE juniors and seniors interested in product design, robotics, programming, and development. Based at the Zürich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur, the program is a specialized, concise course in mechatronics—complex systems, composed of mechanical components, computers, and sensors.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering will lead this seminar for CSE juniors and seniors interested in product design, robotics, programming, and development. Based at the Zürich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur, the program is a specialized, concise course in mechatronics—complex systems, composed of mechanical components, computers, and sensors. 

The seminar also includes a cultural and geographical survey of Switzerland, its land, and people. Past excursions have included the Swiss Alps, Zürich, and Geneva. 

Term: May Session 2022 

Dates: Friday, May 13-Thursday, June 2, 2022 

Eligible students: U of M students and non-U of M students. Admission is by application. 

Credit: Students will receive three mechanical engineering credits. A new course designator is being generated for 2022. 

Faculty leaders: Susan Mantell, professor in Mechanical Engineering, and Victoria Interrante, professor in Computer Science and Engineering.
