Ireland is a global hub for the STEM industry: biomedical technology, pharmaceuticals, information technology and more. The College of Science and Engineering's Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Initiative is offering a professional immersion experience to help students deepen their engagement with Minnesota companies, continue to develop cross-cultural communication skills, and experience the global workplace first-hand in Ireland.
Students who are part of this unique experience will have the opportunity to make site visits to companies including Medtronic, Boston Scientific, and Accenture.
The seminar also will include cultural visits to Trinity University and the Cliffs of Moher.
The Ireland International Professional Immersion Experience is open to students majoring in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, and electrical engineering.
