Our sixth day in Denmark started off on the beach outside our hostel with Bo discussing some of the history of marine life and the three truly renewable sources of power: the sun (which also indirectly causes wind and hydro power), geothermal, and gravity/tides.

After a quick lunch break and changing into some nicer clothes, we visited the Vestas Wind Systems wind turbine plant in Ringkøbing. We heard a presentation on the company’s production methods and product components, then toured their factory floor.
We spent the rest of the afternoon swimming, tanning, and creating outstanding works of art at the beach (that’s Adam and Riandro as sand turtles in the picture).
To finish the day, we walked along the shore and watched the sun set over the North Sea.
