One day down! We have all arrived safely, albeit cold and tired. We spent most of the day touring the Reykjanes Peninsula in southwestern Iceland. Starting off with the Bridge Across Continents, and the Gunnuhver hot spring!

We relaxed at the famous Blue Lagoon (a swimmable hot spring), and in the afternoon visited the Svartsengi geothermal power plant where we learned about the advantages and problems with geothermal power.

We went on to tour the volcanic desert of Iceland, saw more hot springs and the famous parliamentary and national park: ├×ingvellir!

We finished the night with a fantastic dinner and are ready for tomorrow!
