Day 12: Tours of Universidad Tecnológica La Salle (ULSA) energy labs and the Polaris geothermal plant

Tours of a local university and its technical labs and a new experience for many of us at the Polaris Geothermal Plant highlighted today's adventures.
Today we visited the Universidad Tecnológica La Salle (ULSA) private university and had a chance to explore the different programs offered there. We got to visit several of their technical labs including solar, wind, hydroelectric and many more. There was then a presentation from the CENRENER Center where we got to see the power usages around Nicaragua and the power potential that Nicaragua had to offer.

After lunch, we headed to the Polaris Geothermal Plant. Many of us had never seen a geothermal plant before and were fascinated by the pipe line. We learned how they were able to harness geothermal energy and how they maintained sustainability.
