Today was quite a adventurous day to be sure. We awoke early in the morning to depart from Geneva for a short bus ride to the CERN particle collider (http://public.web.cern.ch/public/). It was a very interesting discussion lead by a retired professor that has worked there for 30 years.

After our tour of the CERN super collider, we took a 4 hour total journey (by bus and train) to Zermatt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zermatt). We took in the sites of the city for an hour or two and the rest of the group spilt up and went for dinner.
Shown below is a memorial in Zermatt to Ulrich Inderbinen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulrich_Inderbinen), a famous mountain climber who climbed to the top of the Matterhorn over 370 times.
