Our last days!

The final countdown...
Hey everyone! We are in Milan (Milano) now for the final leg of the journey through Italy. Things are pretty busy still though. Yesterday we went to see Da Vinci's The Last Supper. Yes we did see the most famous painting in the world. No big deal! The refectory was entirely sold out so we were privileged to actually see it. Our time was limited to 15 minutes and we had to get declimatized before going in because the painting is heavily damaged. It was still so worth it, especially after reading The Da Vinci Code (Cheesy I know). Today was basically super busy. We saw the tallest skyscraper in Italy which is almost ready to open. It was a huge building made entirely of steel, glass and concrete with photovoltaic cells on the windows among other things to make it very energy efficient. It was a wonder of modern architecture and engineering. We then had some lectures on rock mechanics from our wonderful TA Jasmine, and material properties from Professor as well as spontaneous Tower collapses by Prof. Binda at the Politecnico di Milano, the most prestigious engineering and science school in Italy. Tomorrow we basically have to explore, shop and enjoy the nightlife of the fashion capital of the world, and pictures are coming soon!
Buonasera,
Vidya
