Day 1: Plane rides completed!

After a couple of uneventful and loooong plane rides (including stops in Amsterdam and Arusha), we successfully made it to Dar es Salaam. The team is now south of the equator, on the Indian Ocean, and nine hours ahead of Central Standard Time. We are on our way to the hotel and looking forward to a restful night to transition to our upcoming experiences, the first being exploring the booming metropolis of Dar es Salaam in search of some water pumps.

Just a quick update to let you all know that we made it to Tanzania (albeit a little tired and warm). We are looking forward to some wonderful experiences—more to come!
