Final Day in Denmark

Today was all about the beautiful sights and locales of northern Denmark before we leave, with great summer weather throughout the day.

To start, a short bus ride brought to see a wind turbine testing center, which is the home of the world’s largest wind turbines! These turbines are over 120 meters tall, with blades as long as 80 meters.

The second stop of the day brought us to Grenen, which is the northernmost point of Denmark. The far stretching beach and clear water made for a nice hike in the sand. Baby seals can sometimes be found here, although we were unlucky in our searches.

The day’s sightseeing concluded with a hike to the top of a giant sand dune, which is shifted by 15 meters to the east every year from the harsh winds found in northern Denmark.

Tomorrow we set sail for Norway!
