Today was a free day and another traveling day. After a quick breakfast we left Genoa. We took two trains with a stop in Santa Margherita Ligure and arrived in Monterosa.
Monterosso is one of the five towns along the coast that make up the Cinque Terre national park. The Cinque Terre is world heritage site and is known for its colorful terraces.
We arrived at 11:30 a.m. and, after dropping our bags off at the Hotel Palma, many of us were hungry. We had a group lunch at the bar GiĆ³ 5 Terra overlooking the water.
After lunch, we checked into our rooms and explored the beach. In the afternoon, some of us hiked around the city to get a better view.
