We had the morning free to relax in the park outside of Rosenborg Castle and take a walk through the botanical gardens before meeting up as a full group to leave the city.
In the afternoon, we took a bus outside of Copenhagen. We made a stop for some ice cream on our way to see some Danish burial mounds. Here we discussed how such strong structures could be made with the limited technology of the time.
Next, we departed to visit the Viking ships where we learned about how early engineers were able to make a highly functional boat out of wood.
After full afternoon of learning how engineers worked dating back over 6000 years ago, we were hungry for dinner and we went to an amazing buffet with a wide selection meats including kangaroo.
