Today we heard three lectures at the University of Copenhagen which explored different aspects of sustainability. Speakers discussed the challenges of getting citizens to recognize the reality of climate change, the economic side of energy production and its relation to citizen happiness, and the correlation between natural disasters and sustainability.
After these morning lectures, students broke into groups for some afternoon free time on our last day in Copenhagen.
Some students traveled to see the cliffs and try some traditional Danish lunch.
Others took a quick train ride to Sweden to fit just one more country into the trip.
And some of our group spent the afternoon seeing as much of Copenhagen as possible, including a climb to the top of the Parliament building!
