After an early morning, we all hopped on a boat to head over to Denmark to start the next part of our adventure, including the Nordic Folk Center where we learned about sustainable practices in Denmark.
After an early morning, we all hopped on a boat to head over to Denmark to start the next part of our adventure. Once we landed in Denmark, we met Bo, stopped for lunch, and made our way to the Nordic Folk Center.
At the Center, we learned all about different types of sustainable practices utilized throughout Denmark. We started with learning about different sustainable housing options that allowed the utilization of sunlight to heat different areas to different temperatures, alternative methods to power cars, and how methane produced from aquatic ecosystems can be used to created different renewable bio based products.
We were then able to partake in generating and utilizing energy produced from riding bikes.
After our long day, we arrived at the hostel, got groceries, and all worked together to cook dinner.
