Bangalore: The Garden City

We have been in Bangalore for a week exploring the many sites, smells, and tastes India has to offer. From landfills to markets to craft breweries to soapy lakes, our days have been packed with adventure, learning, and bonding with our group and our new friends from St. Joseph's College in Bangalore.

From landfills to markets to craft breweries to soapy lakes, our days have been packed with adventure, learning, and bonding with our new friends from St. Joseph's College in Bangalore and the hotel dog named Doctor.

We have enjoyed chai and fresh coconut water every day since our arrival, slowing adjusting to coffee and caffeine withdrawals.

This man (below) sells more than 2,000 coconuts daily. We are loyal customers to his coconut stand!

We also experienced a lake so polluted with detergent and soap that the pollution created a toxic concoction resembling a bubble bath.

Watch a video of the foaming lake!

We are very thankful for our professors and student interns from St. Joseph's College for arranging a wonderful time in Bangalore so far. We are excited for the next few weeks in India!

The flora and fauna of Bangalore, the Garden City, is absolutely beautiful!
