We flew out of Iceland last night, waving goodbye to the Arctic Circle and hello to Europe proper. We're now in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.
We flew out of Iceland last night, waving goodbye to the Arctic Circle and hello to Europe proper. We're now in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, which is on track to become entirely carbon neutral by 2025.. While we're here, we'll be learning all about wind energy, in one of the wind energy capitals of the world. We've also found that this is an extraordinarily bike-friendly city, where 36% of all commuting trips are made by bicycle. By comparison, Minneapolis, which is either the first or second most bike-friendly city in the United States, depending on who you ask, has about 3% of its commuting trips made by bike.
Our next scheduled event is visiting the King's Deer Garden tomorrow afternoon, so we're free to explore the city until then!
