The water comes from 1000 meters deep in the Icelandic ground, and it provides the Blue Lagoon spa with steamy hot water filled with special minerals that makes the skin soft and smooth. The spa was actually created by accident and is result of the operation of the Svartsengi power plant, which we visited on our first day here in Iceland. After these past few days of hiking up volcanoes and down in mountain crevices, the relaxation in the Blue Lagoon was much needed, and now we are refreshed as we wait for our plane to Denmark!
