France—Energy Research and Development in Universities and Industry

Access to renewable energy is one of the driving efforts of global research today. A group of freshmen led by CSE faculty and staff will visit Montpellier, France during this 10-day Freshmen Global Seminar to explore developments in energy production within the European research framework. Students will be introduced to the University of Minnesota study center in Montpellier, and the University of Montpellier.

Location and Description:
Access to renewable energy is one of the driving efforts of global research today. A group of freshmen led by CSE faculty and staff will visit Montpellier, France during this 10-day Freshmen Global Seminar to explore developments in energy production within the European research framework. Students will be introduced to the University of Minnesota study center in Montpellier, and the University of Montpellier. This program will also include a visit to Paris!

French language background is not required to participate, but students will have the opportunity to practice French during the program.
