Day 13: A tour of Winterthur

After a productive day at class, we went on a tour of Winterthur with a tour guide. With a rich history going back at least 2000 years, there were many stories, historical monuments, and a great “old town” region we got to explore.
After a productive day at class, we went on a tour of Winterthur with a tour guide. With a rich history going back at least 2000 years, there were many stories, historical monuments, and a great “old town” region we got to explore. At the beginning, the town contained a Roman garrison and a few people populating the region.

The old town region does not allow cars to drive through the streets (except for delivery trucks) which creates a small town atmosphere in the heart of the city. With many shops, and restaurants with outdoor seating, it is a very welcoming place.

After the tour, across the street from the place we were staying, the cafe had live music. Some of the students enjoyed the time spent there before the next wonderful day at Winterthur.
