Today was our first full day in Jerusalem! We had a great time visiting the Israel Museum and walking around the Old City. Our guide Steve took us on the walk that Jesus made up till his death and we were able to visit the stop where the cross was and Jesus's tomb.
We started our day having breakfast at the hotel. Because of Shabbat, no hot food was served which gave us a chance to try other items. We then took taxies to the Israel Museum where we saw the King Herod exhibit. King Herod was the ruler of Masada, which we had visited the day before, so it was great to make connections with what we had seen.

After the Museum, we headed into the Old City of Jerusalem where we walked the path Jesus took on his last day. The path led to the location where the cross was placed into the ground and everyone who wanted to was able to reach down and touch it. We also saw the tomb where Jesus was buried. It was very eye opening to see people from all over the world come to this spot and unite in their beliefs.

After the tour was done, Steve walked us back into the shops of the Old City where we had our first chance to do some shopping. It was very fun to see everything the stores were selling. One thing the group really enjoyed was bartering the price of items, which is very common in Israel. Many times, we were able to get what we wanted for more than half of the asking price! It was great fun and many people got souvenirs and gifts for family members.
